Some of you may not know that I am a podcaster as well as a writer. Last year, my son Jonathan invited me to collaborate with him on the Reel to Real Post to talk about the movies we love.
The first 10 episodes went well, but both of us got really busy in the Spring of 2024. Jonathan moved to Mobile, AL, for a job as a morning television producer, and I hit a particularly challenging point in my PhD studies. The podcast went on hiatus for many months.
We are back with a new episode. Jonathan and I relaunched the podcast with a discussion of Sidney Lumet’s timeless 1957 courtroom drama, ’12 Angry Men.’ So sit down with us, as we discuss our love for a film about a bunch of men screaming at each other for 96 minutes (and it just might be the best film ever made). In a time of deep division, this film is as important and needed as ever.
