“And I have promised you that I will bring you up from the misery of Egypt to the land of the Canaanites, Hethites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites—a land flowing with milk and honey.” Exodus 3:17
When the Hebrew people were in bondage in Israel, God promised them freedom in “a land flowing with milk and honey. This poetic description of the promised land captured my imagination as a child in Sunday School. After nearly a dozen trips to Israel, the Land, the Book, and the biblical story mean more to me than ever before. This page is an index of articles and blogs I have written about the Land of Israel, the Bible, and my work as a biblical archaeologist.
